Valentines Day is right around the corner! To be honest, I don’t really love Valentines Day… maybe it is because I have memories of being in junior high where you could buy a carnation for $1 and send it to someone. Girls would get carnations delivered to them at every period – maybe one or maybe three from 3 different people and I never got one. Gosh, I honestly haven’t thought about that in a long time but distinctly remember being so disappointed and embarrassed that I didn’t receive one from someone. Tough times! ha! Jack and I usually don’t exchange gifts on Valentines Day, just funny cards. I did tell him a few years ago that I don’t care if I get a thing from him, but I want him to show the boys how to get something for their mom and how to be a good partner one day. So, this week I showed Lawton what I would like this year in hopes they get me a little something 😉
Here are a few things that I would love – all local to Charlotte but you can still order online!
Since I am getting a second hole in my ears today, (obsessed!!) I love both of these by local jewelry designer Nolan Joyce for Noble Collective. They are dainty, pretty and a great price!
I love any gold layering necklaces these days and this one by Erin McDermott is so cute and perfect for the holiday and everyday! These little heart studs are adorable too. Use BROOKE20 for 20% off!
I love love these Clutches from Primaura – I love the red – such a statement! Use BROOKE20 for 20% off!
Addison Weeks has an amazing Gift Guide for under $100! Treat yo-self! Here are a few of my favorites:
Lastly, you can never have enough Twine and Twig! I love all of their trio bracelets and am embarrassed to admit how many I have;) The more the merrier – they call it an arm party and that is truly what it is!
Now, moving on to the kids – I won’t pretend to know what little girls want, but the speakers are a great idea for both. I usually try not to get a lot of candy since we eat candy on a regular basis at this house – so a little gift and a tiny bit of candy and they are done! Here are a few ideas:
Lawton and Wyatt both love anything that has a speaker. This speaker is also light for beside your bed and also changes color, another plus for Law and Wyatt! Lawton rides his bike with the neighborhood boys and this light/speaker attaches to the bike. Can you imagine how much fun we would have had riding bikes as a kid with music blasting? My jambox wouldn’t fit on the back of my banana seat bike, damnit!
If you watched my stories over Christmas/Covid, the boys love this basketball. We play HORSE at night and can have fun playing basketball once the sun goes down with this – its really a great ball.
Lawton has these lights all over the ceiling of his room – he got them for Easter and now Wyatt wants them for Valentines Day – they are very cool but remind me of a strip club (!!) – my neighbors are always like “look at the party in Lawton’s room!”
Lastly, two basketball favorites are this backboard for their rooms that takes score and this portable hoops scoreboard that you attach to your outside goal and this way no one can cheat!
I will leave you with one gift that is a great idea if you do want to get your husband anything for the holiday. Jack LOVES his Tommy John underwear. It is all he wears and my aunt got him some Second Skin Lounge Pants for Christmas and he lives in them. Tommy John is so soft and come to think of it, I don’t know why I haven’t tried any for myself!

Happy Valentines shopping!
