When I landed on this page, I knew SOMEONE in my house would eat this. This recipe is from the Bride and Groom cookbook from William Sonoma. Did you guys ever get this when you were getting married? I probably got this at a shower and it is a great cookbook. Easy, has great recipes and doesn’t make a TON which I like.
This recipe cost about $10 for me. Pasta is cheap and I only used the sweet sausage because I didn’t know if the boys would like the hot….now that I have made it, I wish I had done both. I also skipped the greens because I knew they would pick them out.
Wellllll. They ended up picking a few things out. Wyatt picked out the “black things” = the onions, which to his credit, I think I overcooked a bit (well, burnt hahah) and Lawton the potatoes. Lawton’s words “what are these soft things?!” So annoying. Neither tasted like anything in my opinion! Look at their napkins!! I thought it was very good.

Jack enjoyed his too! My steak and potato guy liked it and really liked the sausage touch. Can you tell we all eat at different times? I feed the boys between 6-7 depending on what sports we have – Lawton doesn’t eat dinner until 8:45 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and when Jack gets home around 7, he sometimes goes for a run, showers and literally eats at 9. So, he is on the couch eating and working. One day we will get into a routine, but it won’t be anytime soon I am guessing!
This recipe was another HIT. Minus the onions for Wyatt and the potatoes for Lawton…. I do love that the boys are trying new things and actually liking them! Now that I say that, next week will probably be a miss 😉 This Bride and Groom book is great option with easy recipes and I have really enjoyed having it and excited to see what else is in there in the coming weeks. Let me know if you make this!
