I don’t know about you, but I am waaaay faster than my husband at getting ready. 10 min shower, 15 min blowdry, 5 min makeup, 10 to curl my hair. I can do everything in 30-40 minutes. I learned at an early age with modeling, time is money, so hurry up.
I think because I wear more makeup than normal when I work, my everyday routine is very minimal. Like my food, once I like something, I stick with it. I love to try new things for sure, new concealers, but my everyday eyeshadow has been the same for years. You can dress it up, tone it down, it is a staple for me!
My favorite concealer is way too expensive. I will say I have had mine for a long time and don’t use it every day. I switch between two. I cannot tell you how much this concealer is worth the money. Ask any makeup artist and she/ he will tell you it is THE best. The coverage, the way it doesn’t crease in wrinkles, it is truly one of the best out there. (I wear Beige)

I do not leave the house without concealer. Like ever. No one needs to see the bags under these eyes! Yes, that means I wear concealer to the gym (gasp!) Now, if I am going to the gym or taking my kids to school and coming home to shower, I wear Tarte Shape Tape. People swear by this. I do like it, but it is messy. You literally only need a small dot and if you put too much on, you look like a raccoon. It does the job though! (I wear light neutral)

Next step is Bronzer….I love bronzer. It is just the thing to give my face the pick me up it needs. A little color and life! I put it on my cheeks, along my forehead, and my jawline. My go to is this one by Mac. No glitter or shimmer in this- save that for highlighter! I use the color called Golden.

I then curl my lashes and put on my brows. When I was 14 a makeup artist plucked off ALL my eyebrows. Remember Drew Barrymore in 1994? Well, don’t laugh but here is a picture of me at my first photoshoot, after she had gone to TOWN on my brows. I was in so much pain I could hardly smile and my eyes were so puffy. They were never the same ;(

So, I now I have to draw my brows on. I have thought about microblading but I just don’t want a commitment like that. I don’t mind drawing them on, but I hope someone would tell me if they look crazy….I use Lancome Brow Shaping Powdery Pencil in light brown.

Next up is blush. This is another thing I do not leave the house without. Girl needs to look alive! I LOVE BLUSH. I am a true southerner and when I see someone not wearing any, I just don’t understand….blush gives your face brightness and a little looked of being flushed, I just love it. I worked at Neimans doing runway shows for 8 years and after getting my makeup done so many times by my friend Alexxa who worked at Chanel, they became my favorites. I also have a cream blush that I like to use every now and then especially in the summer. I know these are an investment but again, so worth it and honey, you are worth it!! I switch between Pink Explosion and Rose Bronze. For the Cream, I have number 21. Very Pretty.

Now it is time for the eyes. I rub a little concealer on my lids when I put it under my eyes to keep my eyeshadow from getting creases during the day. Now, with my eyes, gimme all the shimmer. Naked by Urban Decay have so many palettes to choose from. They have a smokey one which I also have (it was not this expensive when I bought it – it must have been a limited edition), they have a Basics which I think is great staple to have. They just came out with a honey one, the Reloaded is gorgeous, Naked3 is so pretty with pinky copper shimmers, metallic pink shimmers and a smokey black but unfortunately these colors wash me out. The one I use is Naked2. There isn’t a right or wrong way to put this eyeshadow on. I use multiple colors and mix – or just rub my brush at bits and pieces that have come off my previous days into where the brush is laying and use that! Does that make any sense? Basically, I am not too particular because every color is pretty. You see the second color from the right? I sometimes use that as my eyeliner too.

It is sold out everywhere online, but I linked you to Ebay and I will be buying some on here as well because I cannot live without this!!
Eyeliner. I am not big on looking like you wear eyeliner but I also feel like my eyes are naked without it. I use darker at night but the lightest I can find for daytime makeup. I am also not an expert at putting it on, so I can’t be trusted with a liquid eyeliner. I have this Urban Decay eyeliner in multiple colors – Smog – copper shimmer, Zero – black, and Bourbon – glimmering dark brown. This eyeliner goes on smooth…so easy, not messy, and is really pretty. I do not usually put eyeliner on my lower lid unless I am going out.

Mascara! I am going to give you a few that I love. Right now I am using Maybelline – I love to switch it up throughout the week. I love these 3 the most and think they elongate your lashes and have little to no clumping.
CHANEL MAYBELLINE
Lastly, if I am feeling REALLY spicy that day, I will throw a little highlighter on. This is my favorite – I put it on cheeks, nose and top of my lip. I also love the Charlotte Tilbury one to be a blush highlighter (more color to it). These are both so pretty in the summer.

If I am not wearing chapstick, I am usually wearing lipgloss. I have a few lipsticks I like to use for work, but I am a gloss girl.

Like I said, I picked up a lot of Chanel over the years that I did shows at Neimans – I love Melted Honey for a clear, shimmer gloss. I like Noce Moscata and Bourgeoisie for a bit more color. I was recently introduced to Saint Jane and really like this color – calm. My go to lipstick is Chanel BOY – again, all pretty neutral and can be used to everyday life!

Very simple! The no makeup look but with some makeup 😉 5-8 minutes I swear!
