Chosen is a boutique in the heart of Myers Park owned by Caroline Dowling…the sweetest girl. There is a really cool story behind Chosen and something very special that no one else has. 10 days before Caroline was to go to college to study Fashion Merchandising, she went to Swaziland, Africa on a mission trip. This trip changed her life–he saw so much poverty and children raising children because of the AIDS pandemic there that she knew she wanted to find a way to combine her love of fashion with “doing good”.
Caroline researched and found a lot of products to put in her store that gave back. She wanted to for people to “purchase for a purpose“. She sells lines from Ghana, India, Spain, all with the intention of empowering women. Each line has a story behind it.
Caroline also is a huge supporter of local artists and jewelers – her walls are filled with beautiful art done by local artists that you can buy and fill your own walls with! She has a ton of jewelry and again, 90% is from local jewelers. She wants to show off all of the talent that Charlotte has to offer to local consumers 😉
