I figured we had done a lot of red meat recipes lately, let’s throw in some chicken! The one thing that I did differently –I marinated the chicken overnight. I planned on making it for Wednesday night but as you know, plans always change. I was hoping that since I marinated them for the night, they would be even tastier.
The kids liked it – Lawton didn’t use the hot honey but Wyatt loved it with the honey. Do you remember that at McDonald’s back in the day, the nuggets came with honey packs to dip them into? That was my favorite way to eat them! So, I knew at least one of the boys would like it this way 😉
Jack thought it was OK. Didn’t love it and to be honest, I felt that it was a bit dry. I usually cook my chicken for 28-30 minutes and this recipe had me cook the breasts for 25 minutes on one side, flip them and then another 20-25 minutes. If you try this, I would do 30 min and check and see how they look. I think I overdid them for sure.
Once Jack saw that the recipe book was Chrissy Teigens, I think he banned the dinner because he told me to throw it away – she isn’t the best person….but her recipes are pretty good! Let me know if you try this one and if it worked to cook the chicken less.
