My friend Jon Russell got to work when he was furloughed from Neiman Marcus during the pandemic. He has always loved fragrances and learned so much from working with different brands such as Laura Mercier, Mac and Dior. Jon wanted to come up with something that brought other people as much joy as it did him. Because of his love of fragrances, Jon started making soaps, candles, and room scents. Honneur Apothecary was born. You know how when you smell something and it triggers memories for you? That is what he wants for his candles and sprays to do for you and your family – he wants the smell to trigger wonderful memories of home 😉
Jon’s sister lives in Paris and he has always been inspired by the art, culture, architecture and history, so he named the Spring Line Marche Parisien, which means Paris Market. He wanted to create the feeling of strolling through the street-side produce and flower stands all over the city. The fragrances are Tomate (tomato), Pavot de Peches (Peach Poppies), Lavande Sage (Lavender Sage) and Muguet (Lily of the Valley). Each box has a label with the main notes in each fragrance so customers can know how intricate and sophisticated they are.
Jon sent me a box full of his candles and room sprays and they are all delicious! I love the simpleness of the candle – white candle with a pretty white label. It will look great in any part of your house/business. The room sprays are so nice!! I told Jon I haven’t seen pretty room fragrances like this in a long time – or ones that aren’t the standard lavender, cinnamon, pine or vanilla. They are really so pretty and I currently have one in my room, the living room, the kitchen and the guest room.
The smaller candles are always available and are named after his best friend of 8 years – Molly, his boyfriend Ben, Ben’s dog Wellington and his dog Isadora. I love that he named them after the people he loves the most 😉
